About the journal
What is IJEI?
IJEI is the Interdisciplinary Journal of Excellence and Innovation, a newly launched multidisciplinary research journal. It provides information and a submission route for authors whose research contributes to scholarly discussion within or across fields. Read About IJEI for an overview of its purpose and author resources.
Which subjects does the journal cover?
The journal’s scope is multidisciplinary. Authors should identify the main subject, the research question and the contribution of their paper. If a study connects several disciplines, explain the connection clearly. The research areas page offers guidance on describing your work and making a suitability enquiry.
Does IJEI have an ISSN?
An ISSN has not yet been assigned to this newly launched journal. Authors who need a particular journal identifier or recognition for an institutional requirement should check that requirement directly before submitting. This website does not claim an assigned ISSN.
Who is on the editorial team?
The confirmed editorial names are Mr. Biplab Paul, Ms. Ruchita Sen and Mr. Gourab Majumder. Visit the editorial board page for the contact route and guidance on editorial or reviewer enquiries.
Submitting a research manuscript
How do I submit my paper?
Start with the Submissions page. Read the author guidelines and checklist, then use the online submission system. Prepare the manuscript, complete contributor details, an informative title and abstract, and any supporting files requested. Review the information carefully before completing your submission.
What should I check before uploading?
Confirm that all authors agree to the submission, references are accurate, tables and figures are labelled and permissions have been obtained for third-party material. The journal’s checklist states that the work must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal. Address applicable research ethics requirements and explain any relevant circumstances to the editor.
Can I ask about suitability first?
Yes. Send a concise enquiry containing your title, abstract, subject area and main contribution to support@ijei.org. A response to a scope enquiry does not replace editorial assessment of a full submission or guarantee acceptance.
Review and revisions
How long does the review process take?
The stated review timeline is 3 working days. It is not a guaranteed acceptance or publication date. Read the review process page to understand the difference between initial assessment, review, revisions and subsequent publication steps.
What should I do if revisions are requested?
Read each comment carefully, revise the manuscript and prepare a response showing what changed. Identify the relevant sections, tables or figures. If a suggestion is unclear, ask the editorial office a specific question. Keep your revised manuscript and response consistent.
How can I ask for an update?
Check your author account and editorial correspondence first. Then contact the office with your manuscript title and submission ID, stating the update you need. Use the existing submission rather than uploading another copy simply to request progress information.
Fees and publication
What is the publication fee?
The confirmed publication fee is INR 2,000. Ask the journal office for payment instructions and any documentation you need. The publication fees page explains what to include in a payment enquiry.
Does the fee guarantee acceptance?
No. Editorial assessment and review determine whether a manuscript is suitable. Clarify payment timing and any relevant terms with the office before making arrangements.
Where can I read published articles?
Use the current issue and publication archive. As IJEI has recently launched, these sections will show articles when issues are published.
Contact and support
How do I contact IJEI?
Email support@ijei.org or call +91 70033 56833. For technical problems, describe the step that failed and the message you saw. Do not send your password. Visit the Contact page for the journal’s published contact details.
