About the Journal
About the Interdisciplinary Journal of Excellence and Innovation
The Interdisciplinary Journal of Excellence and Innovation (IJEI) is a newly launched multidisciplinary research journal that brings together scholarly ideas, research findings and thoughtful analysis across fields. Its purpose is to provide a shared space for work that addresses meaningful questions and communicates a clear contribution to knowledge. The journal welcomes enquiries from researchers whose work crosses traditional subject boundaries as well as authors working within an established discipline.
Our focus: research that connects ideas
Many research questions benefit from more than one perspective. A study of digital learning, for example, may combine education, technology and social research. Work on sustainable development may connect environmental evidence with business decisions and community needs. IJEI’s multidisciplinary scope provides a starting point for these conversations. Authors should explain the specific research problem, the evidence used and the significance of their findings for the intended readership.
The term interdisciplinary describes work that connects approaches from different fields. Multidisciplinary research may bring several perspectives to the same topic. In either case, a strong manuscript makes the connection explicit and presents its methods and conclusions clearly. Visit our research areas page for guidance on describing your subject and checking manuscript suitability.
Information for research authors
Preparing a manuscript involves more than selecting a journal. Authors should identify the research contribution, review relevant literature, explain their approach and present conclusions supported by the work. An informative abstract and complete references help editors and readers understand the paper. All authors should agree to the submission, and permission should be obtained for material owned by others.
IJEI uses an online submission system. Read the author guidelines and submission checklist before uploading your files. Provide complete author details and retain your submission ID for future correspondence. Manuscripts are assessed for suitability, and those considered a good fit are sent for peer review before an editorial decision.
Review timeline and publication fee
The journal’s stated review timeline is 3 working days. This is a review timeline, not a guarantee of acceptance or a fixed publication date. Editorial questions, revision requests and the requirements of an individual manuscript can affect the steps that follow. The review process page explains how to prepare for editorial assessment and respond to feedback.
The confirmed publication fee is INR 2,000. Authors should contact the journal office for payment instructions and clarification of any payment-related questions. Read the publication fee information before making arrangements.
Editorial team and journal information
The editorial team includes Mr. Biplab Paul, Ms. Ruchita Sen and Mr. Gourab Majumder. The editorial board page provides the names and the appropriate route for manuscript and reviewer enquiries. IJEI is at its launch stage and does not yet have an assigned ISSN.
